The much-anticipated sequel, *Stree 2*, has been performing exceptionally well since its release on August 15. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the horror-comedy has surpassed the success of its 2018 predecessor, *Stree*. Starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana, the film is quickly closing in on the ₹400 crore mark in India. Director’s journey and vision

Director Amar Kaushik shared in a recent interview with PTI that he never expected his debut film to be a horror-comedy. Initially, he had planned to debut with *Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga*, a film he later produced. Reflecting on *Stree’s* success, Kaushik admitted that he was nervous during its release and had reservations about working on a horror film. However, he wanted to deliver something unique and fresh to audiences, which ultimately led to the success of both *Stree* and its sequel, *Stree 2*.
