Today, Rahul Gandhi will pay a visit to Chhattisgarh

Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, will visit Raipur, Chhattisgarh, today to lay the foundation stone for ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’ and open the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhumiheen Krishi Mazduur Yojana.

Amar Jawan Jyoti will be built on the grounds of the 4th Battalion, Chhattisgarh Armed Forces Mana, Raipur, according to an official release. In honour of the martyrs, the Chhattisgarh Amar Jawan Jyoti flame will be kept burning.

“Through ‘Chhattisgarh Amar Jawan Jyoti,’ we will honour the martyrs of the sons of Chhattisgarh who gave their lives for the country by entering the uniformed services, as well as the Braveheart’s of the country who sacrificed their lives in Chhattisgarh,” stated Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

At Amar Jawan Jyoti in Chhattisgarh, a memorial wall with names of martyrs, a memorial tower, and a VVIP platform will be constructed. Brown marble will be used to build the wall, which will be etched with the names of Martyrs. This crescent-shaped wall will be around 25 feet tall, with a length of roughly 100 feet and a thickness of three feet.

In front of a crescent-shaped wall, a memorial tower made of sandstone and brown white marble granite will be built. On top of that, a souvenir will be created. Rifle and helmet insignia will be placed on the base of the memorial tower in the shape of insignia. The Amar Jawan Jyoti of Chhattisgarh will be lit in front of this emblem, which will be lit 24 hours a day by fuel supplied through underground pipelines.

Just in front of the memorial tower, a fort-like two-story building will be constructed, with a base length of 150 feet and a width of 90 feet. This structure will stand at a height of 40 feet.

Gandhi will also launch the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhumiheen Krishi Mazduur Yojana of the Chhattisgarh government. The Chhattisgarh government would provide rural landless families with an annual cash aid of Rs 6000 under this scheme. Registration for the scheme began in September of last year.
