The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is launching a new training course aimed at enhancing the technical skills of young individuals in handling various agricultural inputs. This initiative by PAU's Skill Development Centre invites applications from Punjab's youth for the upcoming training program scheduled from January 15 to March 27.

The training course targets matriculate youths aged 18 to 40, focusing on imparting technical know-how in location-specific crop production technologies and addressing field-related challenges. The goal is to equip participants with the necessary skills for efficiently managing agricultural inputs, fostering their potential for entrepreneurship and securing livelihoods.

Application details and interview schedule

Interested youths can obtain application forms from Krishi Vigyan Kendras in their districts or the PAU Skill Development Centre. Alternatively, they can apply online through the university's website www.pau.edu. The deadline for submitting applications is January 10, with interviews scheduled for January 12 at 10:00 am at the center. During the interview, candidates are required to present original and photocopies of their matriculation and age proof certificates.

Course fees and accommodation

The course comes with a fee of ₹20,000, and additional charges for lodging and refreshments will adhere to university rates. Associate Director Rupinder Kaur encourages young individuals to seize this opportunity, emphasizing that the training not only enriches their skills but also opens doors to potential business ventures. Aspiring applicants are urged to act promptly to secure their spots in this valuable agricultural training program.
