Two children among three injured in Ludhiana house blast

Ludhiana house blast injures three, including two children, in tragic accident

A domestic help and two children were seriously injured in a mysterious explosion at a house in Ludhiana’s Model Town Extension on Saturday evening. The injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where their condition remains critical. The blast occurred around 6 PM while the businessman who owned the house was in Delhi for medical treatment. At the time of the explosion, the domestic help, a 12-year-old boy, and the businessman’s 4-year-old son, Pawan, were inside the house.

Investigation ongoing

The explosion, which caused a loud blast and smoke, drew the attention of nearby residents. Neighbors rushed inside to find debris scattered near the staircase, which had injured the children and the maid. A door had collapsed due to the blast, further causing injuries to those inside.

Local police are still investigating the exact cause of the explosion. According to ASI Ravinder Kumar, they have not yet determined if it was caused by a gas cylinder, air conditioner compressor, pressure cooker, or a mobile phone. The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be available after a detailed inquiry.

Panic in the area

The incident caused panic in the Model Town Extension area, with residents alarmed by the loud explosion. A neighbor, Rakesh Kumar, said he heard the blast and rushed to the house, finding the victims on the first floor, lying injured amid heavy smoke. He and other local residents quickly raised an alarm and helped rush the injured to a nearby private hospital.

Currently, the domestic help is in critical condition, while both children are also undergoing treatment. The police are continuing their investigation to find out what exactly caused the explosion and to ensure the safety of the area.
