Two coaches of an empty train derailed in Bihar, disrupting services.

Officials reported two carriages of an empty passenger train derailed in Bihar on Monday, disrupting services in the Eastern Railway's Gaya-Dhanbad division for many hours.

The tragedy happened in the early hours of the morning near Paharpur station, when the train was heading to Gomo

There were no injuries recorded as a result of the accident. "The train crew applied emergency brakes to bring the train to a complete stop." A portion of the wrecked coaches made it to the up line. The train movement was hampered as a result," stated a senior official from the Gaya-Dhanbad division.

According to the authority, train service on that line resumed approximately 11 a.m.

Because of the derailment, several trains, including the Gandhidham-Howrah Express and the Patna-Ranchi Jan Shatabdi Express, were delayed for six to seven hours.
