Under the joint aegis of Pracheen Kala Kendra and ACT Universal Dubai 

Chandigarh: 29th July, 2023: (Kartika Singh/Arth Parkash):: “Know India Cultural Exchange Program 2023”  was jointly organized by Pracheen Kala Kendra and ACT Universal Dubai. In this unique  colorful extravaganza  foreign students who are  learning classical arts under Guru Shishya Parampara and students of  Dubai based organization ACT Universal enthralled the city audience by presenting this cultural folk  dance and music performances  of India , Dubai & other countries . By organizing such programs Kendra is   creating  new dimensions of success in the world of classical Performing arts. This program was organized at the Kendra’s M.L. Koser Indoor Auditorium from 4 pm onwards here today. Renowned Kathak exponent and Deputy Registrar of the Kendra  Dr. Samira Koser  played an important role in organizing this event.

The program was started with Ganesh Vandana after the traditional lamp lighting. This was followed by a Kazakhstani devotional dance performance by Lunara from Kazakhstan, who is taking Kathak training at the Kendra . This was followed by a performance of Bangladeshi dance "Nauka" by Nahian  Chowdhary of Bangladesh. After this a special Kazakhstani regional folk dance was presented by Ramina which was well received by the audience. Taking the program forward, Bharatanatyam dance was presented by the students  of Dubai, in which they presented a technical part of  Bharatnatyam dance namely Allaripu.

After this, the traditional dance Khaleeji was presented by the students of Dubai, which is a  mixture of  traditional and modern dance of Dubai.

After this the some flavor of classical music was added by a melodic performance by  Shaurin  from Bangladesh, who is learning classical music at the Kendra through ICCR scholarship programe.  She  presented a composition based on  Raag Malkauns. This was followed by a performance by a singer from Dubai who presented  Carnatic music in raga Hindol.

After this Kathak dance was presented by the students of the Kendra  and at the end of the event  certificates were also given to the students.

Kendra’s Registrar, Dr. Shobha Koser and Deputy Registrar Dr. Samira Koser  were also present in this program and Mr. Alok Kumar from Dubai, conducted the program.
