The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to release the Civil Services Mains Examination 2024 results soon. Candidates who appeared for the exams in September 2024 can check their results on the official website, upsc.gov.in, once they are declared. The Civil Services Mains Examination was conducted over five days: September 20, 21, 22, 28, and 29, 2024. Each day had two shifts—the first from 9 AM to 12 PM and the second from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. This recruitment drive aims to fill 1,056 posts.

  3. A PDF file containing roll numbers of selected candidates will open.
  4. Search for your roll number in the document.
  5. Download and save the PDF for future reference.

Post-Result process

Candidates who qualify for the Mains will advance to the Personality Test (Interview) phase. The interviews will take place at UPSC’s office at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi.

What Happens During the Interview?

A board will assess the candidate's suitability for public service based on their career record and responses to questions. The focus will be on evaluating mental sharpness, leadership qualities, and social awareness.

Documents Required

During the interview, candidates must present original documents proving their eligibility. This includes certificates for age, education, community, and disability (if applicable). Additionally, candidates must provide a filled TA Form for travel allowances.

DAF-II Form Submission

Before the interviews, selected candidates must fill out the Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II). This form is used to specify service preferences.

Attempt Limits

Candidates can attempt the UPSC Civil Services Exam six times. However, SC/ST/OBC and PwBD candidates receive additional attempts based on their category.
