Vicky Kaushal visits Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj ahead of Chhaava release

Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal visited Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. He took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet. Vicky expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, saying he had been waiting to visit Mahakumbh and felt fortunate to be there.

A sacred visit

Mahakumbh is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world. Millions of devotees come to take a dip in the sacred waters, believing it cleanses their sins. On the day Vicky visited, over 1.47 million people took part, including Kalpavasis and pilgrims from different parts of India and the world. The festival, which started on January 13, will continue until February 26, ending on Mahashivratri.

Vicky Kaushal’s visit happened just before the release of his film Chhaava, which tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The historical drama, directed by Laxman Utekar, features Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in key roles. The movie is set to release on February 14, 2025.

Meanwhile, Mahakumbh 2025 has seen a huge number of devotees. By February 12, the total number of people who had taken a dip in the holy river exceeded 482.9 million. The event continues to draw visitors from across the world, making it a major spiritual and cultural gathering.
