Chandigarh, 18 April 2023: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who reached Karnataka to campaign in favor of the Aam Aadmi Party candidates for the upcoming assembly elections there, lashed out at the opponents during a road show in Hubli, saying that now the people of Karnataka want change. He appealed to the people to 'give AAP a chance' and said that the Aam Aadmi Party fulfills every promise made to the people and Delhi and Punjab are examples of our politics of work.
Boosting the campaign of the Aam Aadmi Party amid the heated political battle in Karnataka, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led a road show in favor of the party candidates in Hubli. Meanwhile, he targeted Congress and BJP and said that they have looted the country for 75 years. Maan said that the people of our country have already rejected the Congress. Taking a quip, he said that Congress is now not a symbol of Change but of Exchange, whose leader, if he wins an election, also sets his selling price. He further said that the Congress should now write outside its office that 'MLAs, elected by the people, are sold here.'
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann sharply criticized the BJP and Narendra Modi, saying that the BJP has done nothing for the development of the country and the state. He said that instead of making any real promise to the people, Prime Minister Modi always tells them 'Jumle'. Maan said that Modi promised 15 lakhs to the people before coming to power, but when the government was formed, the BJP government announced demonetization and stole the little money, that people had, too.
Urging the people to give the Aam Aadmi Party a chance, he said that the problems of Punjab and Karnataka are the same. Youth need employment, freedom from corruption. Good schools, colleges, hospitals are needed. A good environment is needed to do business. They need good roads, good infrastructure, and only the Aam Aadmi Party can deliver it all. He mentioned the one year performance of the AAP government in Punjab and said that they have given government jobs to more than 28 thousand youths in Punjab. More than 80 percent of people are getting zero electricity bills. An end has been put to corruption. Those who looted people during the previous governments are now in jails and the government is filling the treasury of Punjab by recovering the money looted by them and public welfare works are being done with that money.
Bhagwant Mann praised AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, and said he is the only leader who wants our country to progress. He said that thanks to Kejriwal's reforms in government schools in Delhi, now the children of ordinary citizens of Delhi are getting good education and are becoming officers. He said that Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party are dedicated to our nation and its people. He added that the AAP doesn't come in surveys it forms its government directly. He concluded that if the people of Karnataka gave them a chance once they would never vote for the traditional parties again.
