According to body language expert Judi James, Prince William's style and behavior have shifted since Kate's diagnosis. She mentioned in the Daily Mail that William appears more confident and less formal lately. "His change in style and relaxed body language suggest he is adapting to his future role as king and has reassessed his priorities due to the illnesses in his family," James explained.

In August, William debuted a new look with a beard and has been seen in more casual outfits. For example, he wore a slim-fit blazer, chinos, and white trainers during a visit to the NFL Foundation. In her video, she expressed relief at completing chemotherapy, stating, "The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life can change in an instant, and we have had to navigate stormy waters."

William has been a strong support for Kate during her illness. A source told People that he ensures Kate doesn't feel alone in her fight against cancer. "He is very reliable and strong, so she doesn’t feel isolated. This is a joint effort; she feels supported by him," the source said.
Kate described the cancer journey as complex and frightening, emphasizing how it forces families to confront vulnerabilities. She added that it offers a new perspective on life.
