The city not only welcomed back the Punjab Kings to their home ground but also celebrated the debut of Amanjot Kaur in international cricket, Kashvee Gautam's groundbreaking WPL contract, and the triumph of Chandigarh University athletes in the Asian Games.

Local triumphs and Global recognition

The return of Punjab Kings to the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali brought joy to cricket enthusiasts, hosting five IPL games after a four-year hiatus. Amanjot Kaur's impressive debut for India and participation in the Women’s Premier League added to the local fervor. Meanwhile, Kashvee Gautam's ₹2 crore contract with Gujarat Giants made her the highest-earning uncapped player in WPL history.
