Zelensky's Warning: Ukraine Anticipates Conflict After Moscow Drone Strike

Zelensky's Stark Warning: Ukraine Anticipates Conflict Following Moscow Drone Strike

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a grave warning on Sunday, stating that "war" was inching closer to Russia after three Ukrainian drones were downed over Moscow. Speaking during a visit to the western city of Ivano-Frankivsk, Zelensky asserted that the conflict was gradually returning to Russia, targeting its symbolic centers and military installations. He described this as an "inevitable, natural, and absolutely fair process," highlighting Ukraine's growing strength.

Vigilance Needed in Preparation for Winter Attacks

While emphasizing Ukraine's resilience, Zelensky also urged the country to be prepared for potential attacks on its energy infrastructure during the winter season. He cautioned that just as in the past, Russian terrorists could still target critical facilities and the energy sector. During his visit to Ivano-Frankivsk, discussions centered around preparations for "all possible scenarios" to counter such threats effectively.

Recent Drone Assaults Raise Tensions

The warning comes in the wake of three Ukrainian drones being downed over Moscow on Sunday, resulting in damage to two office towers and temporary closure of an international airport, according to the Russian defense ministry. Additionally, Moscow reported thwarting a Ukrainian attempt to launch an attack on Russia-annexed Crimea using 25 drones overnight.

Tensions have been escalating due to a series of drone assaults in recent times, with Moscow attributing these attacks to Kyiv. As the situation remains tense, both Ukraine and Russia are on high alert, and the potential for further confrontations raises concerns in the region.
